Program Outcomes

  1. Has the ability to use fundamental, up-to-date theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of child development, along with necessary educational tools and resources.

  2. Possesses the knowledge to comparatively evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and validity of information acquired in the field of child development, select appropriate intervention methods, interpret and apply them.

  3. Recognizes the learning characteristics of children during their developmental process and possesses knowledge of their difficulties.

  4. Interprets and evaluates evidence-based data using advanced knowledge and skills covering physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional, and sensory development in the field of child development; analyzes developmental problems and develops solutions for typically and atypically developing children by observing ethical values and working in collaboration.

  5. Has the ability to prepare developmental assessment and support programs for typical and atypical children using different methods and tools in line with theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the field of child development, provide family counseling, and inform the public.

  6. Has the ability to produce different solutions to problem situations for typical and atypical children using an evidence-based approach in the field of child development.

  7. Takes responsibility in transdisciplinary studies in the field of child development and effectively fulfills assigned duties.

  8. Possesses the ability to communicate effectively in Turkish, both verbally and in writing, to give and receive clear instructions, and to use at least one foreign language to follow national and international literature specific to the profession.

  9. Conducts independent studies both individually and in groups using advanced knowledge acquired in the field of child development.

  10. Evaluates the knowledge critically, determines personal learning needs, and directs their own learning process.

  11. Develops a positive attitude toward lifelong learning by effectively using ways to access information, and continuously improves skills in accessing information and monitoring developments in science and technology.

  12. Plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates professional projects, research, and activities for the social environment in which they live.

  13. Informs relevant individuals and institutions on matters related to child development and shares thoughts and solution proposals with both specialists and non-specialists using quantitative and qualitative data as an active participant in the process.

  14. Acts as a role model in appearance, attitude, and behavior; acts in accordance with democratic, human rights, social, scientific, and professional ethical values, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and legislation.

  15. Has sufficient awareness of quality management and processes, including babies, children, and families, as well as individual, environmental protection, and occupational safety issues; acts in accordance with these processes and is aware of their legal responsibilities.
